Musical Theatre Competitions of America

MTCA is a three-day Musical Theatre Festival

Established in 2005

MTCA brings together High Schools, Middle Schools, and Musical Theatre Studios from all over the world, for a weekend Jam-Packed with ALL things Musical Theatre. Our adjudicators are Broadway Actors, Choreographers, College Theatre Directors, and Disney Master Class Teachers.  Categories include Groups Ensembles, Solos, Monologues, Duets, Musical Theatre Dance, Set Design, Hair and Makeup Design and Costume Design.  ALL students participate in a professional Open Call Audition for the opportunity to be cast in. our Direct from Broadway Finale.  MTCA offers a multitude of Master Classes and Workshops for Students, Directors, and Chaperones.  Saturday Nights Finale features performances from our Special Direct from Broadway Guests.  The weekend concludes with a private awards ceremony!

Taylor Loudermann 

Taylor Louderman received a 2018 Tony nomination for her starring role as Regina George in Tina Fey’s hit Broadway musical Mean Girls. Other theater credits include playing Lauren in Kinky Boots and her Broadway debut originating the role of Campbell in Bring It On: The Musical. Television credits include Nick Jr.’s Sunny Day, NBC’s Peter Pan Live, CBS All Access’ The Good Fight, and HBO’s High Maintenance.

Christopher J. Hanke

On Broadway, Christopher played opposite Daniel Radcliffe and Darren Criss in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying…(Bud Frump); Rent (Mark), Cry-Baby (Baldwin) and In My Life (JT). He has also appeared on screen with featured and recurring roles in Nashville, Devious Maids, Younger, Big Love, Odd Mom Out and Kevin Can Wait. Christopher is a highly regarded and in-demand acting teacher, sharing his love for theatre with students across the country.
